of Folic Acid There are two ways to
obtain adequate folic acid in the diet:
- synthetic sources
- dietary sources
Even though each way has advantages and disadvantages (opens new window), both are needed to ensure a balanced and
healthy diet with sufficient folic acid intake. Surveys suggest that as much as 1/3
of the U.S. population is not meeting its requirement for folate. Up to 87% of women
